DEMAND RESPONSIVE TRANSPORT -What is this?‍

A new bus service launches today in our community. It is a bookable service which takes you around our area in Wiltshire. Residents at Mouldon View and Ridgeway Farm can use the service. It will also go into Swindon to the Orbital Shopping Centre or GW Hospital.

It runs from 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 7:30pm Saturday. No Sunday Service at the moment.

It is potentially a Bespoke Service to the individual passenger. Free to use for Concessionary Bus Passholders or £2/£3 for an adult depending on distance. Child Fares and book of tickets available. Bookings are taking place now and you can book either online or by phone (01225 712900), the team are happy to chat with you.

It cannot be in conflict with the Service Bus (No. 53) but can cover where there is a 30minute gap in that service - i.e. if you have to be somewhere by a set time and the Service Bus cannot get you there then (or home) within the 30 minutes then the DRT might be able to.

Can be used by residents around this side of Wiltshire and Malmesbury if within the 12 mile limit. See the map below to check the zone covered.
